1. Sparkle
(August 17th)
I
watched the original on HBO when I was a teenager and I fell in love with this
movie instantly. Hence why it’s my No. 1 must see. It didn’t take me longer than a day before I learnt
ever song and was singing them everywhere I went. This movie has glamour, drama
and the type of soulful singing that would make you cry. With this talented new cast I know the remake
will not disappoint.
· Plot Summary: "Sparkle" tells the
story of the title character; Sparkle, (Jordin Sparks) the youngest of three
sisters and a music prodigy who struggles to becomes a star while overcoming
issues that are tearing her family apart. Sparkle is from an affluent Detroit
area, naive to the unexpected experiences her new life will bring as she and
her two sisters blossom into a dynamic singing group during the Motown-era.
Whitney Houston will play the trio's mother (Emma). Mike Epps plays a wealthy
comedian named Satin, who woos Sparkle's sister into a drug-filled abusive
relationship on their way to the top. During her journey, Sparkle endures the
trials and tribulations of fame but fights to rise through the ranks of the
music business. "Sparkle" is set in the late 1960s when Detroit was

2. Bourne
Legacy (August 10th)
If
you were a follower of all the Bourne film series it would only make sense to
see it through to the end. All of the previous films were EPIC and from the
looks of the previews this will continue its legacy.
· Plot Summary: The narrative architect
behind the "Bourne" film series, Tony Gilroy, takes the helm in the
next chapter of the hugely popular espionage franchise that has earned almost
$1 billion at the global box office: "The Bourne Legacy." The
writer/director expands the "Bourne" universe created by Robert
Ludlum with an original story that introduces us to a new hero (Jeremy Renner)
whose life-or-death stakes have been triggered by the events of the first three

3. The Amazing Spider-man (July 3rd)
I can’t lie I was one of the first person on the Hate on “The Amazing Spiderman film” train. This was due to the fact that the last few films of that franchise weren’t all that hot and I really did want to start all over and go through it again. My mind quickly changed when I was informed by a friend (S/O Rouen) that the awesome Marc Webb was directing then had a charge of heart and knew this movie would be hit. The trailer for this film only affirms the awesomeness that is Marc Webb and the special effects looks like it’s going to be mind blowing.
· Plot Summary "The
Amazing Spider-Man" is the story of Peter Parker (Garfield), an outcast
high schooler who was abandoned by his parents as a boy, leaving him to be
raised by his Uncle Ben (Sheen) and Aunt May (Field). Like most teenagers,
Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is
today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen
Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets.
As Peter discovers a mysterious briefcase that belonged to his father, he
begins a quest to understand his parents' disappearance – leading him directly
to Oscorp and the lab of Dr. Curt Connors (Ifans), his father's former partner.
As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard,
Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny

4. Abraham
Lincoln Vampire Hunter (In Theaters)
I
have been a fan of vampire movies for a long time (all expect for the blasphemy
known as Twilight) and this film has two movie elements I enjoy. It is a
wonderfully directed period film and full awesome special effects. The story
line was good and movie had a nice pace it doesn’t take long to get to the
action. This film is definitely DVD Blue Ray worthy and I shall be adding it to
my collection.

President of the United States, discovers vampires are planning to take over
the United States. After President Lincoln's mother is killed by a supernatural
creature, which fuels his passion to crush vampires and their slave-owning
helpers by making it his mission to eliminate them. Starring: Benjamin Walker, Dominic Cooper, Anthony Mackie,
Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jimmi Simpson, Robin McLeavy, Alan Tudyk, Rufus Sewell.
5. Ted
(June 29th)
If
you are looking for a date movie that will please both sexes Ted is the answer
to your prayers. I think it’s going to be the romantic comedy of the summer the
trailer alone is absolutely hilarious can’t wait to see this film on Friday.

strippers, "Magic Mike" is directed by Steven Soderbergh and stars

by his real life. The film follows Mike (Tatum) as he takes a young dancer
called The Kid (Pettyfer) under his wing and schools him in the fine arts of
partying, picking up women, and making easy money. Starring: Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer,

Recall (August 3rd)
Being
a huge fan of the original movie (1990), I am hoping to see this film be taken
to the next level with the advance special effects in this decade this movie
ought to be a great action pack watch.

story “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale” by Philip K. Dick. Welcome to
Rekall, the company that can turn your dreams into real memories. For a factory
worker named Douglas Quaid (Colin Farrell), even though he's got a beautiful
wife (Kate Beckinsale) who he loves, the mind-trip sounds like the perfect
vacation from his frustrating life - real memories of life as a super-spy might
be just what he needs. But when the procedure goes horribly wrong, Quaid
becomes a hunted man. Finding himself on the run from the police – controlled
by Chancellor Cohaagen (Bryan Cranston), the leader of the free world – Quaid
teams up with a rebel fighter (Jessica Biel) to find the head of the
underground resistance (Bill Nighy) and stop Cohaagen. The line between fantasy
and reality gets blurred and the fate of his world hangs in the balance as

The
tear jerker of the summer with a magical twist.

10. Rock Of Ages (In Theaters)
I have already seen this film and
honestly I have mixed reviews about it.
Though the cast music ability was Awesome and there were some funny
moments I must admit I felt like something was missing to make it the EPIC film
it had the potential to be. But throughout the entire movie I was singing along
to all the classics and that was the best part of the experience. I recommend when going to see this movie take
a group of your friends and start a sing along in the theater trust me it would
be a blast.

Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock 'n' roll romance is
